The statistical popu-lation of this study was parents of children aged 3 to 6 years old in the whole country. The research was done in two stages, in the first stage 100 parents (51% boys, 49% girls) of tehran and in the second stage 318 available parents (56.9% boys, 43.1% girls) around the country selected and data was collected online. Matson (SSRS) and Grisham and Elliott (MESS) two social skills scales were used as tools to assess the validity criterion. The study was done in two stages of construction and standardization. In construction stage, data with 100 items were executed on a sample of 100 parents then after item analysis and using exploratory factor analysis by principal com-ponent method and Varimax rotation, a scale of 70 items was extracted. In standardization stage, after exploratory factor analysis by principal component method and promax rotation, the final scale was achieved with 62 items and seven factors. All subscales have a appropriate correlation that varies between 0.5 to 0.86 and the correlation coefficient of all the items with the total score of each subscale ranged from 0.21 to 0.52. The coefficients of validity by the internal consistency method of the subscales are between 0.50 and 0.81. Criterion validity coefficient of empathy skills, coping with stress, coping with emotion with Grisham and Elliott subscales of empathy, audacity and self-control are 0.4, 0.5 and 0.8, respectively; Also, interpersonal relationship skills with peer communication subscales and Matson social behavior were 0.9 and 0.8, respectively, and self-awareness skills were obtained with Matson self-confidence subscale 0.7. According to the results, it can be concluded that the life skills scale of preschool children has appropriate psychometric pro-perties for use in re-search and clinical groups.</p>
<fullTextUrl>http://psychological-research.com/Article/50988</fullTextUrl><keywords><keyword>Keywords</keyword><keyword> Life Skills</keyword><keyword> Preschool</keyword><keyword> Parents</keyword><keyword> Psychometric Properties</keyword><keyword> Validity</keyword><keyword> Factor Analysis</keyword></keywords></record><record>
<publisher> Psychological Research</publisher><journalTitle>پژوهش های روانشناختی</journalTitle><issn>1019-9616</issn><eissn> 1019-9616</eissn><publicationDate>2025-07</publicationDate><volume>25</volume><issue>1</issue><startPage>48</startPage><endPage>65</endPage><documentType>article</documentType>
Relationship between Leader's Affective Capital and Organizational Health with Considering to the Mediating Role of Nurses’ Affective Capital
<authors>

<affiliationId>1</affiliationId>

<affiliationId>2</affiliationId>
</authors><affiliationsList><affiliationName affiliationId="1">Islamic Azad University, Khorasgan Branch</affiliationName><affiliationName affiliationId="2">Islamic Azad University, Khorasgan Branch</affiliationName></affiliationsList>
<p>Abstract: Supervisors play an important role in the nurses&rsquo; vigor and vitality and the health of the work environment. For this reason, this research was conducted to investigate the relation of job de-sign approaches (Motivational and Mechanictic Models) with job satisfaction, job involvement, and organizational commitment in a set of jobs. Participants of this research were staff of 125 operational and expert jobs (40 jobs of Saipa Automobile Company, 40 jobs of Steel Industries, 20 jobs of Military Industries, 25 jobs of Oil and Gas National Company) that each job was observed by three educated observers. The instrument used by observers was the Multiple Job Design Questionnaire (MJDQ). Research findings showed that the motivational approach has a positive correlation with criteria variables (job satisfaction, job involvement, and organizational commitment), the mechanistic approach has a negative correlation with criteria variables and the motivational approach has a negative correlation with the mechanistic approach. Although the relation between job design approaches and job attitudes is significant, the direction is negative for mechanistic approach and positive for motivational approach, and it shows that two approaches have different orientations. For this reason, using the advantages of mechanical design should be intertwined with motivational design so that the satisfaction, commitment and job involvement of employees do not decrease.</p>
<fullTextUrl>http://psychological-research.com/Article/50992</fullTextUrl><keywords><keyword>Keywords</keyword><keyword> Job Satisfaction</keyword><keyword> Job Involvement</keyword><keyword> Organizational Commitment</keyword><keyword> Job Design Motivational Approach</keyword><keyword> Job Design Mechanistic Approach</keyword></keywords></record><record>
<publisher> Psychological Research</publisher><journalTitle>پژوهش های روانشناختی</journalTitle><issn>1019-9616</issn><eissn> 1019-9616</eissn><publicationDate>2025-07</publicationDate><volume>25</volume><issue>1</issue><startPage>135</startPage><endPage>152</endPage><documentType>article</documentType>
Working Memory Impairment in Type 2 Diabetes: A Neurocognitive and Pathophysiological Review
<authors>

<affiliationId>1</affiliationId>

<affiliationId>2</affiliationId>

<affiliationId>3</affiliationId>
</authors><affiliationsList><affiliationName affiliationId="1">Allameh Tabataba’i University</affiliationName><affiliationName affiliationId="2">Allameh Tabataba’i University</affiliationName><affiliationName affiliationId="3">Department of Cognitive Sciences, Faculty of Psychology and Education, University of Tehran, Tehran, Iran.</affiliationName></affiliationsList>
<p style="text-align: left;">Abstract: Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) extends beyond a simple metabolic disorder and is associated with a range of neural and cognitive alterations that can impact executive functions, including working memory. This review aims to comprehensively elucidate the pathophysiological mechanisms and evaluate behavioral and neuroimaging evidence related to working memory impairment in patients with T2DM. By analyzing studies published over the past two decades, data from cognitive tests (e.g., n-back, Stroop) and neuro imaging techniques (e.g., fMRI, MEG) were reviewed. Behavioral evidence indicates that diabetic patients exhibit poorer performance in working memory tasks compared to healthy individuals, with this decline linked to factors such as age, disease duration, and glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) levels. From a neuro biological perspective, central insulin resistance, neuro inflammation, oxidative stress, reduced cerebro-vascular reactivity, and neurotransmitter dysfunction are identified as key contributors to these impairments. fMRI and MEG data further support disruptions in activity and connectivity within working memory networks, particularly in the anterior cingulate cortex (ACC), dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (DLPFC), and hippocampus. Understanding the neural mechanisms underlying working memory decline in T2DM may facilitate early identification of at-risk patients and inform targeted clinical interventions to prevent cognitive deterioration.</p>
<fullTextUrl>http://psychological-research.com/Article/50995</fullTextUrl><keywords><keyword> Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM)</keyword><keyword> Working Memory</keyword><keyword> Insulin Resistance</keyword><keyword> Neuroinflammation</keyword><keyword> Cognition</keyword></keywords></record><record>
<publisher> Psychological Research</publisher><journalTitle>پژوهش های روانشناختی</journalTitle><issn>1019-9616</issn><eissn> 1019-9616</eissn><publicationDate>2025-07</publicationDate><volume>25</volume><issue>1</issue><startPage>153</startPage><endPage>180</endPage><documentType>article</documentType>
Factors Affecting Entry into Farhangian University and the Teaching Profession: A Case Study of Student Teachers
<authors>

<affiliationId>1</affiliationId>

<affiliationId>2</affiliationId>
</authors><affiliationsList><affiliationName affiliationId="1"> Department of Social Sciences Education, Farhangian University, Tehran, Iran</affiliationName><affiliationName affiliationId="2">Department of Psychology and Counseling, Farhangian university, Mashhad, Iran</affiliationName></affiliationsList>
<p>Abstract: The present study, titled Factors Influencing Admission to Farhangian Univer-sity and the Teaching Profession: A Case Study of Student-Teachers in Khorasan Razavi Province, investigated 35 student-teachers (17 men and 18 women) from various Farhangian University campuses in Khorasan Razavi. This research was conducted using a qualitative approach and a case study method. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, which continued until theoretical saturation was achieved. The study population included all student-teachers in Farhangian University campuses across Khorasan Razavi. Purposeful sampling based on criteria was employed, and sampling continued until saturation. The coding process began with open codes and continued until the main themes and the final concept were identified. Data analysis was carried out using Diekelmann et al.&rsquo;s seven-step method, resulting in five main themes and thirteen subthemes. The analysis of interview data led to the extraction of five main themes and thirteen sub-themes. The results indicate that external motivations among students outweighed their internal and altruistic motivations when choosing the teaching profession and entering Farhangian University. It is recommended that Farhangian University implement strategies to strengthen internal and altruistic motivations to reduce the dominance of external incentives in this context.</p>
<fullTextUrl>http://psychological-research.com/Article/50996</fullTextUrl><keywords><keyword>Farhangian University</keyword><keyword> student-teacher</keyword><keyword> case study</keyword><keyword> Khorasan Razavi </keyword></keywords></record></records>
